You only need to make sure MC understands which track contains which channel.
The under-the-hood track order in MC doesn't matter. So if you're importing a track that's in Film / Pro Tools order, then your import multichannel setting should be that, regardless of your output setting. Your import settings won't make the clip into the track order you specify, but rather: the import setting lets you specify the track order of the source file. Thank you AVID for making this possible in Vers 8.03. The new AVID baselight Plugin was not installed. This method also seems to re-apply all resizes, push-ins etc.
so say YES and AVID will go ahead and relink the media on your timeline which corresponds to the sequence in the AAF bin. We just finished a grade on the BASELIGHT and have been supplied 10 bit DPX files.
Can you link to graded DPX files using an AAF or EDL in AVID MC 8 ?
